FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What if we can’t afford to purchase a license and host an event?

We’re sure you know the expenses related to having any kind of event these days.  We do too.

Having a movie event won’t break the bank.  In fact, it’s meant to fill the bank in more ways than one.

In the short term, your organization can increase your donor base and volunteer base dramatically, and raise several thousand dollars.  In the long term, your organization will see higher attendance and numbers at future fundraisers.

What would the perfect event look like?

First off, there is no perfect event…but there are well executed events!  We’ll help you with the latter.

We believe the film is best used coupled with a powerful live testimony.  Here is a great suggestion of a schedule of events:

1.  The executive director speaks and introduces the emcee of the evening (btw, John Morales makes a great emcee)

2.  The movie is introduced (btw, since John created the film, he would be perfect to introduce the film)

3.  The 62 minute film is shown

4.  Time for a short, live testimony.  (Since John is post abortive and an adoptive father, he would be perfect for this)

5.  Time for the executive director to discuss the mission of the PRC

There are many variations to this, including having time for snacks/drinks before or after.  Either way, it is important to have a professional speaker (local or national) to provide testimony to what your pregnancy center has to offer.

…and whatever you decide, please don’t make it longer than 2.5 hours!  People have to be elsewhere.

Where should we host the film event?

Deciding on the location of the film event may be the most important decision.  You definitely want to make sure to the location is convenient, yet desirable for showing a feature film.  Ideally, would be the local theater.  More than likely, the church basement at a supporting church is not sufficient to show such a dynamic film.  Wherever you decide, make sure seating is comfortable, the A/V capabilities are top notch, and there aren’t distractions.

What should we do if we can’t devote the time to show a screening?

Then have a supporting group of individuals or a church lead the charge, directly all proceeds to your PRC.  No matter if your organization leads the charge or not, make sure you have the support of all churches in your area.  Their help in promoting the event is critical to filling the venue.

What can I do with a bulk order of dvd’s?

We want to make sure you get the most out of your investment, which is why we allow any PRC that purchases a public screening license to purchase dvd’s in bulk.  We recommend using them for the following:

To give as premiums to donors

To sell at your movie event

To give to volunteers

To give to clients

Why are there different prices of licenses?

Yes, this is a common question.

How can we see the movie before deciding to show it publicly?

You asked the right question.  We have the right answer for this.

Since you represent a PRC, we will be happy to show you the movie through an online link at your request.  Please use the form below to request to see a private link, not meant to be used in any public setting.  We trust you’ll watch the film soon after we send it to you, and we trust you will not share it far and wide.

Even if you have seen it, but want someone else in the organization to see it as well, we’ll do the same for you.  Our goal is to allow every PRC director see the film in advance of the showing.
