40 is an inspirational pro-life movie that examines the effects of abortion on our nation since Roe v. Wade. The film presents the fight to end abortion as the most important human and civil rights issue of our time.  40 gives voice to both sides fairly and lets women speak for themselves through experience on the reasons for their firm convictions about abortion.  40 highlights well-reasoned secular arguments against the pro-choice position and provides heartfelt testimonies from post abortive women and men. 40 also reports on the youth at the annual March for Life as the generation that will end abortion.

Since its red carpet world premiere at the Pickwick Theatre in Park Ridge, IL, on December 11, 2013, 40 has been screened in over  300 theatres, universities, high schools, and churches across the U.S. The 40 film was an Official Entry in the John Paul II International Film Festival in Miami, Florida and the Arcangel Film Festival in San Gabriel, CA.

Directed by the co-producer of the award winning Champions of Faith: Baseball Edition John Morales, and from Executive Producer and Movie to Movement Founder Jason Jones, The production team of photojournalist Rob Kaczmark and Spirit Juice Studios bring years of film making experience to the project.

Actress Jennifer Cadena (The Roommate, Crescendo, and Little Boy), lends her beautiful and youthful voice in the narration of the 40 film. Award winning media composer Sean Beeson wrote the original music scores for 40. Beautifully shot and eloquently produced, it is a must see for all people, young and old.

The 40 film aired on the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN on January 24, 2017 at 2AM and on Friday January 27, 2017 at 7PM.  40 made its U.S. and Canada television debut on January 21, 2015 on EWTN in anticipation of the annual March for Life coverage on the network on January 22.  EWTN also had an encore presentation of 40 on January 24 to complement the West Coast Walk for Life. 40 also made its U.S. Spanish television premiere on March 25, 2015 on EWTN  ESPAÑOL and was also broadcast internationally in Mexico, South America and Spain. 

40,  has been described as one of the most compelling pro-life movies ever produced and is available in DVD from Ignatius Press, EWTN Religious Catalogue, and Saint Joseph Communications. 40 continues to be relevant in 2018 and is available for public screenings in theaters, universities, high schools, and churches across our nation.

John Morales is the Director and Producer and of 40, as well as the co-founder of Pro Life Champions. John brings an extensive 20-year background in radio and television to the film.

Morales has been a television sports reporter and anchor for Fox Sports Net Chicago, WJBK-TV/Fox 2 in Detroit, WKBD-TV/UPN in Detroit, and KTRK-TV/ABC in Houston and has contributed to a variety of other stations and networks including ESPN, Fox Sports and CBS Radio Sports. John is also a former Network Correspondent and show host on Relevant Radio and has been a speaker at many conferences and churches around the country.

Morales served as the co-producer, writer, and narrator of the award winning Champions of Faith: Baseball Edition, a groundbreaking sports film that showcases the intersection of sports and faith in Major League Baseball. John was the visionary behind the film and he conducted the many in-depth interviews with over two-dozen Major League baseball players featured in Champions of Faith.

John is also a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He met Pope John Paul II in 2002 at a Papal audience in Rome and Pope Benedict XVI in 2005. Morales lives in Glenview, IL with his wife Cindy and their son Joseph Dominic.

Rob Kaczmark is a partner and production manager of Spirit Juice Studios, a multidisciplinary design studio comprised of individuals working mainly in the fields of film & video production, interactive design, print design, branding, advertising and event production. Rob has been involved with the Catholic ministry for over 10 years, while simultaneously working in the secular film and music scene.

In 2005, Rob co-founded Spirit Juice Studios with Bernie Czerwinski in order to help push Catholic media projects to higher levels of quality. Spirit Juice recently had an incredible opportunity to work with Word on Fire to cut a new trailer to help promote their TV series entitled Catholicism.

Pro-life and humanitarian activist, film producer Jason Jones is Co-Executive Producer of 40. Jason is the President of Movie to Movement, the grassroots marketing team that was behind the box office phenomenon 2016: Obama’s America.

Jones was also Co-Executive Producer of the movie Bella, recipient of The People’s Choice Award at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. Bella has inspired hundreds of abortion-bound mothers to choose life for their babies. Jason’s Bella Hero Program provides free screenings of the film in pregnancy care centers, on school campuses and in prisons.

Jason also founded Movie To Movement, which aims at transforming the culture with a message of beauty, truth, and love.

Actress Jennifer Cadena lends her beautiful and youthful voice to the narration of 40. Jennifer was born in Hollywood, California, to Colombian parents. Her father Carlos Cadena is a Civil Engineer and her mother Cristina Rey, an actress. Jennifer showed a passion for acting at an early age when she would be on set with her mother at Telemundo. She was discovered at age 6 by a casting director at Telemundo.

The talented Ms. Cadena has her background in film as well as television and stage theatre. Perhaps best known as recurring character “Michelle” from NBC’s Days of Our Lives, Ms. Cadena has also guest starred in ABC’s Night Stalker and Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101. Among her film credits include supporting roles in The Roommate, Crescendo and Bring It On Again.

In addition to her acting career, Ms. Cadena works with several humanitarian organizations in the United States that provide support and relief on both a national and global level.

Jennifer Cadena earned her B.F.A of theatre arts from California State University – Fullerton and received training through “The Actors Workshop” and “The Actors Workout.”

Oscar Delgado is a native of Chicago who went on to become the NBC News Bureau Chief for Latin America and a Senior War Coverage Producer for the network. Delgado interviewed Saddam Hussein on Christmas Eve 1990 before the first Gulf War (the only NBC Correspondent to do so at the time) where Saddam declared that he would attack Israel and turn the desert sand into blood if the US led coalition invaded Kuwait. Oscar was based for 10 years in Mexico City but left NBC News in 1995 to pursue a film producing career forming the production company OCE.

Oscar served as Creative Producer of his first film, The Learning Curve, and teamed up with Director Eric Schwab in the casting, writing, music, editing and financing of this independent film that was later picked-up for worldwide distribution by SONY-MGM. Delgado was interviewed extensively by the media for the theatrical release of the film on national television programs including Fox News Channel Foxlight with Bill McCuddy and Spanish language Telemundo program Lo Nuestro. The film was distributed by all the major theatrical chains including AMC, Marcus, Regal, and was held over in many cities despite having a very limited promotions and marketing budget. The Learning curve was followed up My Lucky Elephant, which was a seal approved film released by Arc Entertainment Feb 2013.

Oscar has also been involved with many other smaller films like To Be Born, and served as an associate producer and consultant for the pro-life documentary 40.

Sr. Helena Burns, fsp, is a member of the Daughters of St. Paul, an international congregation founded to communicate God’s Word through the media. She is finishing her M.A. in Media Literacy Education; has a B.A. in theology and philosophy from St. John’s University, NYC; studied screenwriting at UCLA and Act One, Hollywood; and holds a Certificate in Pastoral Youth Ministry. In recent years, Sr. Helena has been the movie reviewer for “The Catholic New World,” Chicago’s Archdiocesan newspaper. She is currently writing and producing a documentary on the life of Blessed James Alberione.

Sr. Helena has been giving media and Theology of the Body workshops to youth and adults all over the U.S. and Canada since the 90’s, and believes that media can be a primary tool for sharing God’s love and salvation. Sr. Helena brought her unique female genius to the 40 and served as a consultant and Associate Producer of 40.
